“I owe the success of this program to my team work and to the American Islamic Congress for their support and successful training”

Boudhraa Sana, a 26 year old product designer and member of the “Citizenship Festival” initiative ensured with her team work counting 20 volunteers a training workshop for almost 90 children, in the fields of fine arts, photography and manual creations. Through this program, the trainers tried to shape the values of successful communication skills, democracy, tolerance and citizenship within children. Children were taught how to express themselves through fine art, expressing a concept through a painting, a piece of art learning at the same time the communication skills as they find themselves in direct contact with other children. In short, this was to found a network of grassroots able to lead other children to start their social lives, to be actively involved in the concerns of the country and avoid passive reception of knowledge. A solid network was the most important achievement from this experience. Parents suggested a permanent workshop for their children to shape their talents and teach them the basics of leadership and civic engagement.
