The American Islamic Congress, the Sudanese-American Community Development Organization, the Sudanese Human Rights Organization, and the Sudanese-American Women’s Organization partnered for a discussion on bullying among U.S. minority youth communities.
The discussion was led by David Esquith, the director of the Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Healthy Students within the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education. Mr. Esquith spoke to students of various ages and their parents about the rights of individuals in cases of bullying, how to respond to bullying incidents and what resources are available for victims of bullying and their families.
